with COLLECTIVE AND SINGULAR SINGING BODIES
The company
La Ville en Feu is a collective of 11 multidisciplinary artists. They created Le Sacre in 2018 and Les Planètes in 2024. Both pieces are collective rewritings of orchestral symphonies for a capella singing and dancing in the public space. Their work create strong relationships with the audience, through gaze, imaginary or physical intention of proximity, through roaming cities and reimagining their use.

The workshop
The workshop revolves around dancing, singing and in situ work, through collective practices. We strive to highlight individualities within a group. Body Mind Centering® tools allow us to approach choreographies and musical ensembles while respecting our own ways of interpreting within a collective. We also share tools for composing music and singing without requiring a formal musical background.
